Small Roads lead to Better Things
Posted: December 5, 2011 in Brand Development, Marketing and Communications, Public Relations, Word of MouthAs I have been in many marketing classes, I have realised that starting with something small when starting a business, creating an event leads to bigger things.
Therefore, I am going against the common slogan of “Go Big, Go home” to “Go Small, Go higher”. if you a person interested in having a huge event say on campus, office, or even the white house, start with the little you have.
Start talking to your family, friends, and or colleagues to get options on how to go about the event. You want to talk to the chancellor, go first to the Provost, this will not only relax you but will also open your eyes on how to approach the biggest of them all; the chancellor
Therefore, when starting a business, it’s the same thing too, start by selling things in your garage, start with what you can, it’s from these grassroots that will help you achieve bigger sales, or profits in the long Run.
So go be “Bigger Smalls”
It’s December, Why not surprise your employees with a present!
Posted: December 2, 2011 in Relationship BuildingI mean, come on now, who doesn’t want a surprise gift this holiday season. Are your employees stressing out, excited or just don’t care? Whatever the reason might be, motivate them to keep working this season. Bring a Yoga instructor during lunch break, tell them to go home early on Fridays, if there are no customers.
This might seem too much but by doing this, relationships among workers and managers is strengthened. fro -example relaxing together during yoga break. This will motivate them to work more the following day.
